Girls, girls, girls.

GIRLS, vem aí a 3ª temporada. Yey por raparigas talentosas e não comuns.

I consume a lot of tv series. I watch everything I can and also have a calendar to know when seasons premiere.
Usually I don’t talk about these themes, but I’am too anxious about this comeback.
The real value of any audiovisual production, for me, has to come from the script. If the story is good, success is guaranteed. And something I notice a lot, in a lot of the things I watch, it’s that they are written by men, the female characters are always superficial and less explored, luckily, there are good actresses in the roles to fill the gap. I dare to say that there is a certain misogyny. And it irritates me a lot, because I can always guess if it’s a female or a male scriptwriter, that created the specific character.
In this tv series, that i started to watch, by the internet buzz, I fell in love with it in the first episode. I knew from the start that was a woman writing it. The way the story flows naturally, the melodramatic script so fun and the delicious dialogues, with real characters. We cry and we laugh at the same time with these 4 girls adventures.
Hanna, the main character, is an aspiring writer that has to survive, now that her parents decided to not help her anymore financially. Insecure and spoiled, its someone any girl will identify herself with. The rest is history, you really got to watch.
Now, what i didn’t know, and i got double fan of this actress, Lena  Dunham, is that she writes, produces and co-direct the series, where she is the leading role. With the slight excuse “that she never found roles for her, so she decided to write a story”, she turned simple lines into a great series. At first sight it only seems like a girls story, but it’s way more than that. GIRLS, the third season is coming. Yey for talented and uncommon girls.
